My Favourite Films

Wim Wenders: Pina Bausch
REAL ART

Stanley Kramer: Ship of fouls
In almost each person on this movie I saw myself.  It was not easy.

THE KITE RUNNER Khaled Hosseini
It seemed to me as the Afghan reality.

Ferzan Özpetek: The Ignorant Fairies
I recommend this for those who things they fully know an another person.

RAN, Akira Kurosava
It looks like a different "world", but deep down is the same.

A Year in Tibet (2008, BBC DVD, Seven Stones Media Ltd)
This film gave me hope in journalism.  I got the sense I was offered an "objective" view about Tibet through human eyes.

Ingmar Bergman: THE MAGICIAN (1958)
To me this film is about where the fine line is between spirituality and charlatanism. What is the result of being and unbeliever or a blind believer?

François Ozon: Time To Leave (2005
I have never seen anyone to die so elegantly.

Kay Pollak: As It Is in Heaven
I love the energy and simplicity of this movie. It gives me encouragement to carry on and raising the question, where is my responsibility in building communities?

Alejandro González Ináritu: Babel
This film is about reality. We are living our lives and things are happening and not all the time with a happy ending, but still goes on.
